Ibesikpo Ward One Reassures Aniekan Uko

In what many have described as an uncommon show of love and solidarity, constituents and members of the ten villages that make up Ibesikpo ward one, gathered on Saturday, 23rd January at the country home of the Rt. hon Aniekan Uko in an annual get together party.
The event which was attended by a mammoth crowd also had in attendance, the political leader of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Uwem Ita Etuk, the Chairman, transition Committee of the Local government area - Hon Udombon, village heads of the ten villages that make up the ward, leaders of thoughts as well as a cross section of the Academia, business and the political class.
Speaking at the function, the Immediate past speaker of the Akwa Ibom state house of Assembly and host of the Event - Rt Hon. Aniekan Nyong Uko Stated that the event was not a campaign but a fulfillment of the covenant he made with the people of Ibesikpo ward one. The visibly elated lawmaker who had only a few weeks ago given out cars, motorcycles and cash to constituents said that the mammoth crowd only goes to confirm that there is no room for the opposition in the Local government area.
various speakers at the event took turns to extol the leadership qualities and humane disposition of the lawmaker. The Special guest at the occasion and political leader of the Local government Area, Prince Uwem Ita-Etuk stated that Rt. hon Aniekan Uko is a rare breed. Etuk said that from his days as a Councillor to his elevation to the coveted position of the speaker of the state Assembly, Rt. hon Uko displayed humility, loyalty and total commitment to the Ibesikpo Asutan course. He urged members of the ward to keep their voter's cards intact so as to ensure the return of Rt. Hon Uko to the Akwa Ibom State House Of Assembly.
High point of the event was the receiving of over 200 APC members back into the PDP fold.
Sources say that over 2 million naira cash, 30 bags of rice, 10 goats, as well as numerous crates of drinks we given by the legislator to the ward.
